Job Summary: The scheduling coordinator manages the creation of overall job scheduling for our Cincinnati office and staff. This position will frequently update, process, and correct all materials related to scheduling. It is the responsibility of the scheduling coordinator to organize the necessary crews for the hours of work.

Collaborate with external and internal personnel to schedule work and coordinate job assignments.
Confirm and verify the required equipment to complete a job safely and successfully.
Coordinate with special projects coordinator for staffing and equipment needs.
Create, develop, and update a scheduling process and format to accommodate the evolving list of jobs.
Communicate with payroll administrator(s) on leaves and absences to ensure accuracy of paid hours.
Identify and repost gaps in coverage immediately.
Process any documentation or materials related to job scheduling or equipment requirements.
Provide crews with the necessary information to be in complete compliance with safety guidelines.
Report any violations of the attendance policy
Respond to inquiries from external and internal personnel for the purpose of providing information on schedules.
Review leave requests made by staff members.
Other duties as assigned.

Work Environment:
Custom Traffic Solutions is an outsourced traffic safety company; therefore, there are two components to the CTS work environment: office and job site.
In the office, an employee works under typical office conditions, and the noise level is usually quiet.
On a jobsite, an employee frequently works near moving equipment, oncoming traffic, heavy machinery, and be exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals, biological hazards, airborne fumes, outdoor weather conditions and loud, prolonged noise.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to handle or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Travel:
Limited travel may occur for this position.
Required Experience:
Previous scheduling experience is required;
2-3 years’ experience in traffic control or like industry is a plus.
Must be proficient with MS Office.
